Awarded Projects

DDSS prioritizes the funding of projects that contribute to the advancement of data-intensive social science inquiry at Princeton. DSSS-supported projects have spanned computationally-intensive methods, including machine learning, web-scraping, and text analysis. They have also included the collection of original data, gathered from social media, surveys, video, administrative records, and historical documents. Topics hold contemporary relevance, but pioneering approaches have also been used to revisit longstanding research questions, with improvements in causal inference and estimation.
