Eric Manning is a Research Data Engineer at DDSS, where he builds and maintains tools that enable researchers in the social sciences to more easily query, merge, and analyze large datasets. Eric provides dataset- and platform-specific guidance to researchers through project onboarding and consulting, leads technical workshops throughout the academic year, and collaborates on select academic research.

Eric completed his PhD in Politics at Princeton in 2023, where his dissertation examined modern campaign financing in the United States, with a focus on online contribution behavior and campaign messaging. Before coming to Princeton, Eric earned a BA in Government from Cornell University in 2017.
