The New Jersey Families Study (NJFS) is a video ethnographic examination of how families support their children's early learning. It aims to further our understanding of early childhood development by providing researchers with access to over 11,000 hours of video and audio recording from 21 families with young children in Mercer County, NJ. To help researchers sift through the nearly half-a-million recordings, DDSS designed and built njfs-app, a web-browser application that allows researchers to search, organize and share videos within Princeton University’s secure research infrastructure.
