Event Description

Creating engaging and accessible data visualizations is an essential tool for policy and research communication. We will discuss the main concepts of the grammar of graphics and use applied examples to explore ggplot2’s ability to create multi-layered and complex graphs. The workshop provides a short overview of the basics of ggplot2 for data visualization and resources for learning more. We also focus on helpful tips to create visually appealing and complex graphics for communicating research and policy findings. This will be a hands-on workshop, so please bring a laptop with R and RStudio installed that you can use. Please also make sure the “tidyverse” package is installed ahead of time. Lunch will be provided. Please register here by February 22nd at noon.
