Research Software and Data Engineering as a Resource for Faculty    

To promote the wider application of research software engineering in the social sciences at Princeton, we opened our first Call for RSE Support in Summer 2023. After a successful launch, we have supported projects across the social sciences and related disciplines, addressing a diversity of needs. 

Examples of RSE contributions on campus have included:

• Creating complex and large-scale data processing, simulation, and machine learning pipelines utilizing HPC resources,
• Developing open-source Python packages foradvanced computational analysis and machine learning,
• Building data-driven web applications and APIs providing research data and tools.
